A curved transfer board (or slide board) is designed for extra stability to help make transfers easy for individuals with limited mobility. Acting as a bridge between two surfaces, it helps reduce the risk of slips and falls during the transfer process.
Designed with these benefits in mind, the SallyBoard Curved is a lightweight, chip- and splinter-resistant transfer board that combines durability with ease of use. Its smart curved design helps ensure smooth and comfortable transfers, whether you're in a healthcare facility or at home.
Compact and easy to handle, the SallyBoard Curved is ideal for a variety of transfer needs—helping individuals move securely from a wheelchair to a car, toilet, bed, and more. It’s popular with both healthcare professionals and home users for its simplicity and effectiveness.
Whether you're recovering from a temporary injury or managing a permanent mobility challenge, the SallyBoard Curved offers the support and peace of mind needed for smooth, comfortable transfers.

“I’ve been using a manual wheelchair for some 30 years now and neither stand nor walk. I’m what’s lovingly called an ‘old polio’ and require a transfer board.
Previously, I used homemade plywood boards for transferring that were heavy, large and unwieldy, slipped out of place, etc.
Since being introduced to the curved SallyBoard, I’m more independent. It has a handgrip which enables me to place it exactly in position and lift/stow it easily between uses. Furthermore, it has these non-slip grips at either end under the board that hold it in place as you slide to transfer; hence, it offers this wonderful safety factor by NEVER moving and offering appropriate stability.
To conclude, I find my SallyBoard® excellent and invaluable. I could not live without it in my life.”
