Air-Assisted Transfer Mat - Single Patient Use

Designed for use with a single patient for the duration of their stay, the Haines^® Air-Assisted Transfer Device or 'mat' is a manual handling device which streamlines lateral transfers (from bed to bed, for example) for patients of all sizes.

They dramatically reduce the physical exertion required by carers, as well as the anxiety that can be experienced by both carers and patients when utilising more traditional manual handling techniques.

Whilst some SPU mats aren't durable enough to last multiple transfers, Haines Air-Assisted Transfer Mats are robust enough to last the duration of a patient's stay.

• Robust design - seams are double-stitched (as opposed to heat sealed) and attachment points are reinforced for increased safety and durability
• Cradle-like effect when inflating - provides a sense of security for both carer and patient
• Suitable for use in all areas of a hospital, including the OR department where fluids are anticipated, and radiology (see notes re radiolucency below)
• Fits existing air supply units mitigating the need for an additional capital outlay
• 2 safety straps to hold patient secure on mat
• 4 handles down each side of the mat for a safer transfer process

X-ray/MRI Approved

Haines Air-Assisted Transfer Mats are radiolucent, therefore safe for use with x-ray and MRI equipment. Note that the air supply pump must remain outside of the MRI environment through the use of an extended supply hose (sold separately).

• HEPA certified filtration system¹ for improved infection control – capable of removing 99.97% of dust, pollen, mould, bacteria and other airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm) from in-taken air. Larger or smaller particles are trapped with even higher efficiency.²
