Transfer boards (or slide boards) are manual handling devices designed to safely transfer patients from one surface to another - from bed to bed for example. They enhance patient safety, whilst reducing the effort required by staff to manoeuvre unconscious or immobile patients.
The SallyBoard® range was specially developed to provide a light, chip and splinter resistant alternative to other transfer boards on the market. Medium and large SallyBoards® are commonly used in hospitals and healthcare facilities, while the smaller SallyBoard® Personal Motility Board - Curved (available here) is more commonly utilised by physiotherapists, carers, and patients seeking a transfer board for day-to-day use.
Lightweight for easy patient transfer:
- Constructed from lightweight HDPE – much lighter than many transfer boards on the market
- Hanging hole at one end for tidy storage and easy accessibility
