Designed for use with a single patient for the duration of their stay, the Haines® Air-Assisted Transfer Device or 'mat' is a manual handling device which streamlines lateral transfers (from bed to bed, for example) for patients of all sizes.
They dramatically reduce the physical exertion required by carers, as well as the anxiety that can be experienced by both carers and patients when utilising more traditional manual handling techniques.
Whilst some SPU mats aren't durable enough to last multiple transfers, Haines Air-Assisted Transfer Mats are robust enough to last the duration of a patient's stay.
