Haines® RediCare® Arm Positioning Strap is designed to securely position patient arms to arm-boards for surgery while supporting waste reduction initiatives. Made from soft, breathable foam-feel fabric, the strap is designed with no clips or buckles for ease of use and recyclability, ensuring improved patient comfort and simple application.

Developed in collaboration with Flinders Medical Centre (FMC)—a leader in healthcare sustainability in South Australia—this strap contributes to reducing waste in healthcare settings.

Prior to the involvement of Haines Solutions Lab, FMC faced a challenge: arm positioning straps were only available in pairs, bundled with arm-board covers. These bundles often led to significant wastage, as the additional straps and covers were rarely needed, resulting in unnecessary costs and frustration.

With these insights in mind, the Haines RediCare Arm Positioning Strap was developed to meet the needs of both efficiency and environmental responsibility.

To further minimise environmental impact, the straps are sold in bulk packs, reducing plastic packaging and eliminating the need for extra accessories, ensuring both cost-efficiency and a more environmentally conscious solution for patient positioning.
