A long-awaited addition to the Haines® range, the Reusable Silicone Tourniquet is designed to strike a balance between the convenience and cleanliness of single patient use consumables, and the cost savings and environmental benefits of reusables.

Single use tourniquets have long been considered best practice due to the cross-contamination and associated risks of their reusable counterparts.¹ However, research shows that a silicone strap can significantly reduce these risks.²

The non-porous, hydrophobic nature of a silicone tourniquet strap prevents the absorption and passage of liquids and gases, making it easier to clean than a conventional fabric strap. This reduces the risk of cross-contamination, while offering a safer, more sustainable and economical alternative to other options.²
